Welcome to Stapleford Community Primary School. Our school lies at the heart of the village. It is a friendly and lively school where children and families immediately feel welcome and involved. We have high expectations and ambitions for our children as learners, musicians, sportspeople and future citizens. As the Headteacher here at Stapleford, I can certainly vouch for that. 

What makes Stapleford special is the enthusiasm of everyone – our children, staff, families and governors – to make the most of every opportunity and to do their best. We feel particularly proud when our choir sings in venues such as West Road, our sports teams compete at district and county levels, and our mathematicians enter county competitions.

Our school continues to develop in exciting ways. In 2020 we opened our new Stapleford Nursery, a stimulating, bright new learning environment for our 3-4 year olds.  We refurbished the inner courtyard to ensure our early years have a safe and exciting area for their outdoor learning. In 2018 we joined Anglian Learning, a Multi Academy Trust made up of both secondary and primary schools in Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Essex, and we are very excited about the new opportunities this affords us.

Our last Ofsted inspection took place in June 2013, when the school was judged to be Good. The Inspection Report said, "Pupils make good progress from their different starting points. Standards are consistently well above those expected at the end of Year 6." We remain ambitious and committed to further improvement.

There are opportunities for everyone at Stapleford Community Primary School, and as our name suggests, it is our strong community that makes it such a happy and vibrant school. We have a published admissions number (PAN) of 30, and Cambridge Local Authority handle all admissions to the school. We look forward to welcoming you.
